Following this course, the attendee should be able to:
- Determine the appropriate journal to which to submit the manuscript
- Describe the editorial process
- Organize the content of the manuscript according to what was done, why you did it, how you did it, and what you learned
Description:
Participants seeking to publish their work will be able to consider the editors' perspectives on the type of work that their journal prefers. Considerations for preparing a scientific manuscript will be discussed and practical tips on how to format the work into an introduction, methods, results and discussion will be provided. Other aspects of the editorial process that will be discussed include: responding to editor and reviewer comments, and appropriate use of figures and tables.
