Description:
The first 10 years in practice are both demanding and exhilarating! This session will address some of the most common challenges faced by the young dermatologist in both private and academic practice, including Maintenance of Certification requirements. We will discuss the implementation of technology into your practice with particular emphasis on considerations for security. You will learn new strategies for effectively managing office staff, including considerations for utilizing physician extenders in your practice. We will also discuss the importance of getting involved as a young physician, building a relationship with your community and how to grow a referral base. In addition, you will learn practical tools for marketing your practice and the importance of being media savvy. The session will close with a panel discussion of practice pearls to implement and pitfalls to avoid.
