Director:
Stephen E. Wolverton, MD, FAAD
Learning Objectives:
Following this course, the attendee should be able to:
- Decisively assess common therapeutic controversies in dermatology practice.
- Manage patients with common therapeutic controversies, realizing there is seldom complete data for any given question that arises.
Description:
Dermatologic therapeutic controversies are numerous and seldom is there a unified consensus for any given controversy. In spite of this limitation, clinicians must recognize that patients expect clinician decisiveness for managing their dermatologic condition. The audience will be presented with a wide variety of therapeutic controversies, including the relevant literature on each, and fully participate in finding the most reasonable solutions to these controversies. An active learning model by participants will be emphasized. The participants can bring controversies for the speaker to address.
