Following this course, the attendee should be able to:
- 1. Diagnose patients with the “red face” syndrome more effectively.
- 2. Improve patch testing technique for patients with facial contact dermatitis.
- 3. Select optimum treatments for patients with the “red face.”
Description:
This focus session for practicing clinicians will address the diagnostic and therapeutic problems posed by the patient with the “red face.” Using clinical case examples from a referral private practice, participants will review the differential diagnosis of the “red face” and therapeutic alternatives for these patients. Special attention will be paid to patch testing with an extended series of allergens to aid in the evaluation of this challenging group of disorders.
