Learning Objectives:
Following this course, the attendee should be able to:
- 1. Differentiate between benign and malignant lymphoid infiltrates in the skin.
- 2. Recognize unusual clinical and histopathologic presentations of cutaneous lymphomas.
- 3. Utilize the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Clinical Practice Guidelines for the staging and management of cutaneous lymphomas.
Description:
The panel will discuss practical approaches to common diagnostic challenges seen in cutaneous lymphomas. In particular, the panel will address how to differentiate between cutaneous lymphomas and their clinical and histopathologic mimics. The panel will discuss how to recognize unusual presentations of cutaneous lymphomas, with an emphasis on the importance of the clinical-pathologic correlation. Practice guidelines that can be used for evaluating and managing patients with cutaneous lymphomas will be reviewed.
