Learning Objectives:
Following this course, the attendee should be able to:
- Identify techniques to communicate safely and effectively with patients and other providers when utilizing an electronic medical record.
- Identify techniques to communicate effectively with patients and team members to optimize safety during procedures.
Description:
With the increased focus on electronic health records, this session will highlight successful communication techniques to assure the communication between the provider and the patient is not compromised. We will also discuss the importance of attention to communication both in the electronic health record and among team members to minimize errors and safety events.
