- Identify and treat common and complex cutaneous conditions impacting the hospitalized patient
- Recognize important histologic clues to secure complex diagnoses
- Manage skin disease in the inpatient setting
Description:
The dermatologist is an important member of the team caring for hospitalized patients. Common problems and their uncommon manifestations will be discussed, and interesting and rare examples of serious skin conditions will be presented. The session will focus on cases highlighting the importance of clinicopathologic correlation, and valuable diagnostic pearls and therapeutic interventions will be reviewed. This session is geared toward dermatologists caring for inpatients, physicians treating complex patients presenting to the office, and dermatopathologists.
