Description:
The skin is a major interface with our world and protects us against physical and biological threats. Integral elements of this barrier function are parts of the immune system that can recognize and respond to a variety of threats. This course will review basic immunological concepts and introduce learners to new immunological insights that are relevant to the diagnosis, expression, and treatment of skin diseases.
