Description:
This session is directed to practitioners planning to include PDT in their practices utilizing ALA-PDT and MAL-PDT. The discussion will focus on a comprehensive approach to the selection of patients, application of aminolevulinic acid, relevance of incubation time, and light sources utilized for PDT. Potential role of ALA-PDT in improving texture and appearance of sun damaged skin and prevention of NMSC will be presented. This interactive session is intended to generate discussion on the role of ALA-PDT and MAL-PDT in dermatologic care of the elderly population with increased risk for NMSC.
