Clinical Research & Guidelines
Guidelines
Evidence-based guidelines are produced by the Academy in response to Board approved topics that are important to dermatologists and their patients. These are directed by administrative regulations and an expert work group with the support of Science and Research staff using an evidence grading scale to evaluate scientific studies. Guidelines serve as important tools for clinical practice, support for federal quality initiatives such as the Physicians Quality reporting Initiative (PQRI) and Maintenance of Certification (MOC), reimbursement decisions, advocacy efforts and public messaging.
Current approved and published guidelines include the following:
- NEW Guidelines of Care for Management of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis
