The Academy has several task forces and committees working on HIT-related projects. The Academy needs members who are using EHRs, e-prescribing or are practicing teledermatology to comment on important HIT policy issues and to provide expert guidance for Academy HIT activities, programs, products and services. Opportunities exist to participate in the following committees and task forces:
The Practice Management Task Force
is committed to providing members with factual and accurate information about various practice management issues, including Health Information Technology (HIT), and is responsible for various educational resources, including the dEHRm, articles in
Dermatology World
, and a compilation of EHR FAQs.
The Medical Informatics Committee
is responsible for promoting and advancing the medical informatics agenda for dermatology, including the provision of expert advice in support of clinical decision support systems, health terminology and classification systems, electronic health records, teledermatology, patient registries and digital libraries.
The Telemedicine Task Force
promotes the provision of teledermatology domestically and internationally, advances educational programming on telemedicine, and identifies and evaluates the effects of emerging clinical, technical, legal and financial issues in teledermatology.
If you are interested in participating in any of these task forces or committees, fill out the form below. Please share your information with us so that staff may contact you.
