Leadership Forum
The 2010 Leadership Forum is a highly interactive weekend that will provide an opportunity to advance your leadership and communication skills while networking with colleagues and Academy leaders. Energetic and informative speakers will cover key leadership competencies identified by the Academy that are critical to dermatology leaders. Topics include setting vision and strategy, communicating effectively, and increasing self-awareness. You also will have the opportunity to take the Myers-Briggs personality assessment and learn how to leverage your personality type to be a stronger leader. If selected, the Academy will cover your travel expenses, accommodations, and provide meals on site for this event. The Leadership Forum will be held Jan. 29-31, 2010 at the InterContinental Montelucia near Phoenix, Ariz.
Eligibility
- Must be a member of the AAD in good standing.
- Must have eight years or less since completing residency/fellowship training.
- Must have completed residency training in dermatology.
- Must not have attended a Leadership Forum in the past.
- Only U.S./Canadian travel to the on-site meetings is reimbursed.

- In addition to your completed application, you also must submit one letter of recommendation from an individual who can speak to your professional commitment, and an executive curriculum vitae (limit of no more than three pages).
