ICD-9 updates

The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) and The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have revised and updated the coding and reporting structure for malignant neoplasms of the skin and other codes pertaining to dermatology in the 2012 International Classification of Diseases, Clinical Modification 9th Revision (ICD-9-CM). 

These updates and revisions are scheduled to be effective Oct. 1, 2011.
