The following non-member categories are not required to request an access ID number. These categories can register by simply visiting the online registration and housing system.
Non-member physicians
Non-member physicians are those who treat patients in an office-like setting.
Non-member non-physicians
Includes non-member corporate individuals, pharmacists, industry representatives, or scientists/researchers working in the field of dermatology.
Office staff and RNs
The office staff/RN category of registration does not need to request an access ID number. Please see the office staff/RN registration information page for more details.
The following non-member categories are required to request an access ID number to register via the online system. Additional documentation is required during the submission process. Requirements are outlined below.
Submitted documents that are missing any of the requirements below will be rejected and new documentation will be requested. To expedite the request process, make sure that all submitted documents are complete.
Resident/medical fellows
(Outside U.S. and Canadian program) Official letter from educational or training institution validating participation in the program. This letter needs to be signed, reflect a current date, and list the start and anticipated end date of the training program.
Non-dermatology resident
Official letter from educational or training institution validating participation in the program. This letter needs to be signed, reflect a current date, and list the start and anticipated end date of the training program.
Medical students
Official letter from educational or training institution validating your medical student status. This letter must be signed, reflect a current date, and list the program start date and anticipated date of graduation.
Physician assistants and nurse practitioners
You must be working in an AAD member dermatologist 's office. You must provide a copy of your current medical license and a letter of sponsorship from your employing physician. The sponsorship letter must be signed and have a current date. This category will only need to credential every three years. Individuals who credentialed and received an access ID # for the AAD 2012 Annual or Summer Meeting, or the AAD 2013 Annual Meeting will not need to credential for this meeting and will automatically be emailed a current access ID number.

At the beginning of the access ID number request process, you will be required to log in to the AAD website. If you do not already have an account, you will have to create an account.
- The deadline to request an access ID number is July 8, 2013 at 12 pm (CT).
- Expect 5-7 days for processing and receipt of your access ID number.
- Requests received after July 1, 2013 are not guaranteed to be processed in time to register by the early registration date of July 8, 2013 at 12 pm (CT)
- After receipt of an access ID number, registration and housing can be completed via the online registration system.
- Access ID number requests will only be accepted via the online submission form.
Note: Completion of the access ID number request form does not constitute registration for the meeting. It is strictly a request for an access ID number. Official approval will follow the submission of the completed request form and the required supporting documentation.
