The American Academy of Dermatology (the Academy) is pleased to announce a Call for Nominations for the
Eugene J. Van Scott Award for Innovative Therapy of the Skin and Phillip Frost Leadership Lecture.
THE AWARD
Phillip Frost, MD, FAAD has donated funds to be administered by the American Academy of Dermatology for a
Eugene J. Van Scott Award for Innovative Therapy of the Skin and Phillip Frost Leadership Lecture. The selected award recipient will receive a cash award in the amount of $15,000 and an additional $10,000 for the Phillip Frost Leadership Lecture that will be presented at the Academy’s 2010 Annual Meeting.
THE CRITERIA
- The recipient should have made a significant contribution toward an innovative therapy of the skin with greater emphasis within the most recent five year period.
- The recipient will be expected to present the Phillip Frost Leadership Lecture at the Academy’s Plenary Session on Sunday, March 7th in conjunction with the Academy’s 2010 Annual Meeting in Miami, FL..
THE SELECTION PROCESS
Requests for nominations are being solicited from the AAD membership at large and others through various publications. The recipient will be selected by the Academy’s Eugene J. Van Scott Award for Innovative Therapy of the Skin and Phillip Frost Leadership Lecture Selection Panel and presented to the AAD Board of Directors for approval at the 2009 Spring Board meeting. The winner will be notified following the Spring Board meeting.
