The Caribbean Dermatology Symposium (CDS), presented annually since 2002, is designed to provide high-quality continuing medical education featuring the latest updates in medical dermatology and the diagnosis and treatment of various dermatological conditions.
Dermatologists and other health care professionals need comprehensive knowledge of the latest developments and techniques in diagnosing and treating skin diseases to ensure the highest standards of patient care. For the 13th Annual CDS, an internationally-known faculty and key thought leaders will present in-depth education and stimulate audience discussion on a variety of clinical dermatology topics.
The CDS has grown over the past 13 years and now annually educates 300 medical practicing dermatologists, dermatology residents, primary care physicians, as well as nurses and physician assistants who treat dermatological conditions. Participants are from all over the USA, with the majority of attendees from east of the Mississippi.
In October 2013, The Caribbean Dermatology Symposium became part of Global Academy for Medical Education, LLC (Global). Global develops educational programs (live, web and print) that are accredited through joint sponsorship with ACCME accredited providers such as the University of Louisville Continuing Medical Education & Professional Development. All activities are planned and implemented in accordance with Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
