Mohs surgeons are uniquely qualified to expand their surgical repertoire to include facial cosmetic surgery. Learn how fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons translate reconstructive surgery skills into high quality cosmetic surgery outcomes with the same instruments, sutures, and local anesthesia. This 2.5 day live surgery and cadaver course provides a solid foundation for the Mohs surgeon planning to add local anesthesia cosmetic facial surgery to their skin surgery practice. Immersion refers to a non-stop educational experience from morning through dinner of a small group of surgeons.
Our February 2012 course was oversubscribed with 11 participants that observed 32 local anesthesia face lift, blepharoplast, chin implant, neck liposuction, submentoplasty, and laser resurfacing procedures were performed over two days. After overwhelmingly positive feedback, we are pleased to announce our second live surgery course now combined with a hands-on cadaver course. The 2nd Immersion course continues the repetitive live surgeries performed at a pace that keeps the participants engaged in a dynamic learning experience. It also adds the opportunity to practice the rejuvenation techniques on cadaver heads under the direct supervision of the course faculty.
Faculty include Mohs surgeons, patient care coordinators, nursing staff, marketing staff, and current and former patients.
