Description:

The 2nd Annual Hands-On Patch Test Training Workshop features an educational program with internationally known faculty who will provide the latest updates in patch testing for the diagnosis and management of Allergic Contact Dermatitis (ACD).
The Workshop will be held at The Buttes, A Marriott Resort in sunny Phoenix, Arizona, November 9-10, 2012. A special conference rate , starting at $148.00 per night (plus tax and service charge) has been secured for participants of the program. Register by July 31st, 2012 and save $100 off the regular registration fee.
OBJECTIVES and OUTCOMES
1. Explore why patch testing should be used.
2. Utilize a hands on approach to Patient selection/history, patch test application, methods, patch test reading & interpretation.
3. Discuss with patients management tools.
4. Address key issues of managing a patch test clinic.
5. Describe scheduling, reimbursement, materials and health outcomes for patients.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Practicing dermatologists, allergists and occupational medicine physicians, dermatology and allergy residents, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and other medical professionals and staff interested in patch testing.
CREDIT DESIGNATION STATEMENT
The University of Louisville Continuing Health Sciences Education office designates this educational activity for a maximum of 13.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
NURSING CREDITS
This program has been approved by the Kentucky Board of Nursing for 16.2 contact hours through the University of Louisville School of Nursing, provider numbers 3-0046-01-2012-265 for 9.0 hours on 11/9/2012 and 3-0046-01-2012-266 for 7.2 hours on 11/10/2012, expiration date December 31, 2012. The Kentucky Board of Nursing approval of an individual nursing education provider does not constitute endorsement of program content. Participants must attend entire session, provide license and SS#, and complete evaluation to receive contact hours.
