AAD Annual Meeting registration scholarship program

The International Affairs Committee of the American Academy of Dermatology offers attendance scholarships to international dermatologists to encourage their participation at the Academy's Annual Meeting. Dermatologists from all countries (with the exception of the United States and Canada) are eligible to apply, with the limit of two applicants per country.

The scholarships include complimentary registration for the meeting and admission to one post-graduate ticketed session, and an invitation to a dinner with AAD leadership. Since 2006, the International Affairs Committee has awarded more than 450 scholarships to dermatologists from 75 countries.

Applicants must submit an application, as well as be nominated by their national dermatologic society. Officers of dermatologic societies must complete and submit a nomination form for each applicant. Only two applicants per country will be considered.

Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible. Successful candidates must have adequate funds for travel and housing, and should be able to understand spoken English.

The deadline to apply or nominate candidates for the 2013 Annual Meeting has been extended to Sept. 14, 2012.
