AAD Annual Meeting poster exhibit scholarship program

The AAD's World Congress Fund Review Task Force offers attendance scholarships to dermatologists from developing countries to encourage their participation at Annual Meeting. 

The scholarship includes a stipend, complimentary registration for the AAD Annual Meeting and complimentary admission for one post-graduate, and an invitation to a dinner with AAD leadership. Selected abstracts will be displayed electronically at the AAD meeting and in a poster abstract book.

The World Congress Task Force has awarded more than 200 scholarships to dermatologists from 48 countries since 2006.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be from developing countries.
  • Apply within three years of completing dermatology residency training at the time of the meeting.
  • Be endorsed by a national dermatologic society. A signed letter of endorsement from the society is required to be attached to the online application and must be in Adobe Acrobat portable document format (PDF).
  • Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible.

The Poster Exhibit Scholarship application is now closed. The Academy will reopen the scholarship application for the 2014 Annual Meeting in April 2013.
