The AAD has developed its first appropriate use criteria (AUC) on Mohs Micrographic Surgery in collaboration with the following organizations:

• American College of Mohs Surgery 
• American Society for Mohs Surgery
• American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Association 

The Boards of Directors of all four societies approved the final document at the AAD’s 2012 Annual Meeting in San Diego. The Mohs AUC will be published in JAAD and Dermatologic Surgery in the coming months.

More than 75 physicians have contributed to the development of the Mohs AUC.
