Dear colleagues:

The American Academy of Dermatology continued to grow throughout 2011 as the organization bolstered its offerings and value to member physicians. Nearly a thousand new members joined the AAD’s ranks. Member support is one of the key priorities in the Academy’s strategic framework; we succeed in supporting our members by delivering the programs and services on which they have come to rely. With the continued support of membership and a diverse array of options for continuing education and professional development, we look forward to continued growth in 2012.

A new volunteer initiative, Dermatology in Action, was launched at the 69th Annual Meeting in New Orleans, and offered members the opportunity to serve those cities that graciously host our annual and summer meetings.
