Membership

Academy membership continued to grow in 2011, increasing by nearly a thousand. The demographics of our specialty continue to shift, with the number of females entering the specialty continuing to outpace the number of male dermatologists. The vast majority of practicing board-certified dermatologists in the U.S. continue to count themselves as members of the organization. The charts below demonstrate the Academy’s growth and changing demographics, as well as the makeup of our more than 18,000-member organization.
